Happy Sunday
Religion is branching out
Here is another gem from The Onion, one of America’s finest news sources.
Wouldn’t it be interesting if this were the way that it worked. Oh wait, it is. Anyone received a “Gideon’s” recently? Or a book of Mormon? Or a bigoted brochure from the Seventh Day adventists?
What is the most out-there thing that you have received from a missionary on the prowl?

Adventists? Bigoted?
You must not know what goes on in this church!

My apologies, I misspoke. I meant to refer to the bigoted brochures often left on our door or handed in person by the Jehovah’s Witnesses in my old neighborhood in the States.
However, the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a centralized faith-based organization which dictates doctrine to followers. One such piece of doctrine is outlined here here: http://www.adventist.org/beliefs/statements/main_stat46.html
While, as the link in the previous comment indicates, the Adventists might be open to gambling and carousing, this does not absolve them from bigotry. Their doctrinal policy rejects “bigotry against any person, regardless of race, nationality, or religious creed,” but deems homosexuality as immoral. Bigotry comes in all varieties. This is just one of them.
